Content of the programme
The programme begins with an overview of tax data. It covers how tax authorities collect and process data and how taxpayers must fulfil their reporting obligations. It then explores techniques for analysing data with the aid of AI. It looks in detail at how tax authorities use AI to organise their supervisory activities. It also looks at how taxpayers can use AI to optimise their tax processes. This includes machine learning, large language models, and the use of agents. Attention is paid to the legal protection afforded by EU law, including the GDPR, the AI Act, the Convention and EU principles, in both data collection and the use of AI (trustworthy AI).The course focuses on current technological developments in taxation worldwide (EU and OECD).
